Honestly...

Let's be honest here.

I'm kind of freaked out about this market stuff.

DOW has gone down over 3000 since this past winter. AIG, Bear Stearns, Fannie/Freddie, Merrill Lynch, all gone or bailed out somehow along with random others. Washington Mutual has failed, largest bank failure in history. All credit is at a standstill. China has stopped loaning money to the U.S. (our largest loaner). What the heck is going on!?!?!!?

This + all my random end-of-the-world theories + Iran/NK/Venezuala and their randomness + Russia's backsliding + election + consistent degredation of religious freedoms = Am extremely interesting next few years, not necessarily in a good way.

I was watching Band of Brothers the other day, specifically the first episode. It ended with all the airbourne getting on planes heading behind enemy lines to jump a few hours before D-Day. The past 30-40 years has been so full of laziness and weakness that I think these generations can barely even comprehend "hardship" on a national/international scale, a time where people actually have to sacrifice something. I know I can't, even when I try. I'm not saying in the next 4 years will see thousands dieing in a ridiculously brave beach rush like Normandy - the world isn't the same place as that - but I am saying that I expect the next 4 years to be a time where we actually will have to see sacrifice in our own way.

I hope I'm overreacting.

Humid air.
Rainy days.
Constant sweat.
Colorless vistas.
Shapeless mountains.
Unknown words.
Slippery sidewalks.
Bitter coffee.
Lengthy walks.
Difficult travel.
Secretive talks.
Hidden God.
Starless nights.

I miss the uniqueness of a blue sky.

Surprises everywhere.
Inexpensive everything.
Delicious food.
Relaxing days.
Gracious friends.
Giving people.
Colorful streets.
Consistent laughter.
Daily adventure.
Nightly wonderment.
Little temptation.
Rarely lonely.
God abundant.

I miss the uniqueness of a blue sky.

Trains, Planes, and Automobiles...

Not quite.

I was driving back to the house today from class... really short drive by the way, which is nice. Anyways, the Space and Rocket Center is basically in my view the whole time heading there, so other than traffic around me I'm basically staring at a huge Saturn V. I get to Madison Pike, turn right... now, to the left of me almost directly is the Saturn V, Space Shuttle, SR71, etc... next to them is a train driving by, not really even obstructing my view, next to the train is the oncoming traffic lane of cars, and then me. Me, oncoming cars, train going by, Space Shuttle/Rocket/etc. Cool. Only thing missing was a water vessel of some kind!

Goodbye America...

... Hello Asia!

I'm leaving for 7 weeks starting later this morning! I'll officially be leaving the country around 2 oclock or so central time on Tuesday. I'll be back at this computer no earlier than July 1st. Fairwell United States of America! Don't do anything crazy while I'm gone!

Also, facebook went bye-bye. I'll bring it up again when I get back.

Holy crap...

(From Xanga)
I haven't been here since like, before Christmas. I think I completely forgot about it. I reformatted my computer, lost all my bookmarks, and yeah. Hmmm.

Nothing to post really. Well, there is a lot actually, but I'm a lazy butt.

Movies I'm looking forward to:
Prince Caspian
The Dark Knight
Indiana Jones
Pineapple Express
Tropic Thunder
Hancock
Star Wars: Clone Wars
WALL-E
Chaos Theory
The Spirit

A few I won't be able to watch until July simply because I won't be back until then, but yeah, I suppose I'll write about that later...
